Tasman Island, you know the one? That secluded floating cliff that sits just off the shore of Cape Pillar with nothing but a lighthouse on it. Talk about the most EPIC elopement ever!

We were up at dawn doing our best Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonations as we boarded the helicopter en route to Tasman Island. None of us had actually been on a helicopter before so we were all giddy with excitement. Kara and Josh had even more reason to be excited given they were about to elope on Tasman Island!

Flying around the Tasman Peninsula was an experience like no other, as we snaked across the endless cliffs towards Tasman Island. When we arrived it was such a surreal feeling being completely alone on an island off the coast of Tasmania and being there for the very first Tasman Island elopement. We walked to the far end taking in all the overgrown beauty and towering cliffs that the island had to offer. The elopement ceremony took place with Cape Pillar in the background (one of my favourite hikes in Tasmania). The after the ceremony we spent about an hour exploring the vast magnificence that the island had to offer. This elopement on Tasman Island was like nothing I’ve ever done before!
