Yo! I’m Jon Gazzignato – a wedding photographer for the cool cats who enjoy the good things in life. I specialise in non-traditional and intimate weddings.
I’m here for the couples who dare to be different, celebrate their uniqueness and marry because they just frickin love love…that and a good boogey on the dancefloor.
I’m based down on the extraordinary island that is Tasmania but I’m regularly travelling all over the state, around Australia and the world, capturing beautiful weddings and elopements.

Whether it’s a wedding, elopement or couple’s shoot - the most important thing to me is getting to know the people I’m photographing and capturing their story in a way that truly represents who they are when they’re together. From the quiet intimacy to the deep belly laughs, and all the tiny details in between, I am visual storyteller. I live for adventure and strive to make every wedding as epic and unique as possible. I have an unconventional approach and am always looking to push the boundaries.

Find a style that resonates with you. Every photographer is different, and more often than not, what you see in their portfolio will be very similar to what you’ll receive. Equally as important, find a photographer that you vibe with. They’ll be by your side all day so the last thing you want is someone you don’t get along with and make you feel uncomfortable.

99% of the couples in my photos have said this, but I’ve never had a snail that I can’t get out of its shell. If you trust me, and you turn up as your beautiful self, we will make magic together. I never hang people out to dry when you’re in front of the camera, I’ll give you as much or as little direction as I think you need to create amazing photos. We’re in this together.

It’s all a personal decision, but I like my couples to feel comfortable when they’re with me, and having multiple photographers can make a wedding feel like a movie set. After 6 years of documenting weddings, I’ve never needed a second photographer.
