Marc + Lisa
Marc and Lisa are two of my oldest and best friends. Way back in grade 10 when they first got together, I was there (not in a creepy way). And when they get married in April next year, I will be there (again, not in a creepy way). Anyone who has met them knows that there is no couple that is more adorable. They wear each other’s clothes for god sake! In fact, I’m pretty sure that’s Marc’s burnt orange jumper that Lisa is wearing in this photo shoot.
These guys love the outdoors, so when we talked about doing a shoot together, I expected no less than an epic mountain with rock climbing and killer views. We had been planning this shoot for a few months, but every time we tried to lock something in, gale force winds rocked up and shut down the party. In fact, one week prior to this shoot, this mountain was covered in snow. That’s just weather in Tasmania!
We finally got out there late in August on a pearler of day. Sure, we had to wade through ankle-deep mud for 15 minutes to begin with, but after that we had clear skies and a mountain all to ourselves. That’s something that I absolutely love about Tasmania, we can still go to a place this incredible and be the only ones there. We timed the hike perfectly and arrived at the peak for the sweetest of sunsets over the surrounding mountain range. Beers, hikes, rocks, hangs and bants – this shoot is Marc and Lisa to a tee, I’m so glad I got to capture it!
